چکیده

Dengue fever, caused by the dengue virus (DENV), is currently a threat to about half of world's population. DENV mainly transmitted vertebrate host through bite female Aedes mosquito while taking blood meal. During this process, salivary proteins are introduced into skin and facilitate acquisition. These modulate both local (skin) systemic immune responses. Several have been identified as immunogenic inducing production antibodies with some those also displaying immunomodulatory properties enhancing arboviral infections. IgG antibody responses against gland extracts diverse number mosquitoes, well Ae. aegypti peptide, Nterm-34 kDa, suggested biomarkers human exposure bites AgBR1 NeSt1 investigated for their potential protective effect Zika (ZIKV) West Nile Thus, we were interested in evaluating whether AgBR1, NeSt1, kDa SGE associated infections clinical characteristics. For this, tested samples from volunteers living fever endemic area Colombia 2019 presence peptides using an ELISA test. Results pilot study suggest involvement disease progression.

Characterization of dengue virus in Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus spp. of mosquitoes: A study in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan

Dengue is a vector-borne disease caused by dengue virus. According to the recent report of CDC that one-third population of the world are at high risk with Dengue fever. The prevalence of the dengue hemorrhagic fever was found more in tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. Aedes mosquitoes was reported as the main cause of transmission of dengue virus. So the current study was planned ...

Population dynamics of Aedes aegypti from a dengue hyperendemic urban setting in Colombia.

This study evaluated if the Aedes aegypti population in the city of Cali, Colombia was composed of genetically distinct local populations with different levels of insecticide resistance and dengue vector competence. Insecticide resistance was assayed biochemically and was associated with varying levels of mixed-function oxidases and non-specific esterases. The genes encoding those enzymes were ...

Use of Anti-Aedes aegypti Salivary Extract Antibody Concentration to Correlate Risk of Vector Exposure and Dengue Transmission Risk in Colombia

Norte de Santander is a region in Colombia with a high incidence of dengue virus (DENV). In this study, we examined the serum concentration of anti-Aedes salivary gland extract (SGE) antibodies as a biomarker of DENV infection and transmission, and assessed the duration of anti-SGE antibody concentration after exposure to the vector ceased. We also determined whether SGE antibody concentration ...

Distribution of dengue virus types in Aedes aegypti in dengue endemic districts of Rajasthan, India.

BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVE Dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF) is the major cause of sustained morbidity/ mortality among human cases of dengue in dengue endemic areas of Rajasthan. Screening of mosquitoes collected from disease endemic settings and typing the virus could provide significant epidemiological information for prospective risk of DHF. We therefore carried out a study on different dengue vi...
